Frequently asked questions

What sort of venue do you perform at?

Village halls, schools, family homes - wherever you want! There's a list of venues local to me here.

What sort of magic do you do?
It depends on the age of the children. But it's always very visual and great fun.

Does the party child need to participate? My child is shy and may not want to.

This is not uncommon, and is not a problem. Your child can enjoy the show without coming up to help.

What age range is suitable for a magic show?

At most of my parties, children are between 4 and 7. Beyond 7 they tend to be more interested in paintball, laserquest, make-up parties etc. Younger than 4, they may find it hard to remain engaged, with so many distractions.

How long do parties last?

It's up to you - there's no standard answer to this. Most birthday party shows are between one and two hours. For younger children 45 minutes is probably enough, but I don't recommend anything shorter than that.

My child is scared of balloons. Can you avoid them in your show?

Again, this is not uncommon, and is not a problem. I can avoid using them - just let me know beforehand.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, I have £10 million public liability insurance.

Are you a real magician?

Yes.
